The Dixon Line

The Dixon Line

36 x 48 inches, oil on linen, sold at Mountain Trails, Sedona.

The cowboy’s name is Yates Dixon. He is a third generation cowboy from Peeples Valley.

When I was painting, I was listening to Johnny Cash sing “… because your mine, I walk the line.” So I named it The Dixon Line.

There is just something in the way Hannibal is slightly leaning towards Yates as they both walk the line towards home. Trust, companionship, contentment, just send me over the moon and back.
